On Saturday, high school students from all over western Montana will be competing in the Zootown's Got Talent Contest to be held at Hellgate High School.

High students who audition for a First Night Spotlight performance for this year's New Year's Eve extravaganza will have their opportunity next week.

I could easily say my favorite highlight of 2014 was when the Seattle Seahawks won their first ever Super Bowl title against the Denver Broncos. But it's not the truth, my favorite event of the year hasn't happened yet.

Tuesday evening, The University of Montana Department of Athletics and Copper Connection hosted the student-athletes' second-annual talent show, Griz Got Talent. The entire talent show was an entertaining combination of talents, skits and comedy featuring UM's sports teams and the coaches.

Sure they can tackle, dunk, run, spike, ace and putt, but can they sing, dance, tell jokes, etc.?
