The Missoula County Public Schools (MCPS) website posted a message on its front page regarding a troubling TikTok post that has swept the country about a possible attack in the nation's schools, even elementary schools.

Efforts to get children ages 5 to 11 vaccinated against COVID-19 are in high gear at several venues around Missoula, with appointments through both hospitals, the MCPS, and other facilities, including the University of Montana Pharmacy.

The preliminary injunction sought by Stand Up Montana and several other plaintiffs against the Missoula County School District was denied on Friday after noon by District Court Judge Jason Marks.

Missoula attorney Quentin Rhoades has filed a lawsuit in Missoula District Court on behalf of Stand Up Montana and several local parents to rescind the mask mandate at Missoula public schools as the new school year is about to get underway.

A small but enthusiastic group of parents, grandparents and children stood on the sidewalk adjacent to the Missoula County Public School Administration building on South Avenue on Tuesday afternoon asking for their children to have a choice about whether or not to wear a mask in school.

After meeting with the MCPS COVID 19 Task Force in the past week, Superintendent Rob Watson told KGVO about the process he and the school board followed to recommend masks for students to start the coming school year
