Firefighter Killed

A Great Falls firefighter was identified as one of the victims in a fatal military airplane crash in Australia.

The Missoula County Sheriff's Office reports that a firefighter was killed by a falling tree while working on the Lolo Peak Fire. The man's name and hometown have not yet been released.

A 19 year-old wildland firefighter from Missoula was killed on Wednesday by a falling tree while working in the Seeley Ranger District. His name has not yet been released.

NBC Montana is reporting that Grayback Forestry said an employee was killed Wednesday while fighting a forest fire at the Lolo National Forest.
