Fire Danger Level

Hot and extremely dry weather has led the Missoula County Fire Protection Association to increase the fire danger from ‘high’ to ‘extreme’.

Missoula fire officials have lowered the fire danger by one level from extreme to very high. Stage One fire restrictions remain in effect. No campfires outside established fire rings and there are also restrictions on smoking outside. The Missoula Fire Protection Association in conjunction with local wildland fire partners, the Missoula County Office of Emergency Management and the Missoula City-County Health Department have moved fire danger in Missoula County to VERY HIGH as of Monday, July 30th.
