It was a rainy start for the new COVID 19 version of the iconic Clark Fork Market near Caras Park in downtown Missoula on Saturday morning.

The Missoula County Fairgrounds is the home of the Western Montana Fair, and according to Fairgrounds Manager Emily Brock, all options are on the table for this year’s fair, and as a possible site for the Farmer’s Market.

Missoula police responded to a shooting incident at a grocery store on South Reserve on Monday evening. One person was taken to the hospital.

Missoula County’s COVID 19 Incident Commander Cindy Farr used a portion of her daily You Tube update to address the issue of the Farmer’s Market, in which she wanted to clarify the county’s position on the popular spring event.

Commissioner Slotnick addressed the issue that has left many people distressed, and that is the fact that there will be no farmers markets this spring.
