The grand opening of the High Ropes Challenge at the B.E.A.R. ropes course in Hamilton will be Saturday, October 5, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The grand opening was delayed a week because of the weather. BEAR (Bitterroot Ecological Awareness Resources) has had the low ropes course open since this summer at the north end of Hieronymus Park. The High Ropes course includes a climbing wall, a leaping challenge, a swinging element and four traversing elements. There are limited spots for those wanting to experience the course Saturday and pre-registration is required. Three start times are planned and the High Ropes course is designed for adults and children aged 10 and older. Low rope and ground course challenges are open to all. All participants under age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign a liability waiver signed. Adults must also sign a waiver. Find out more at the BEAR website.
