Miranda Lambert to Mentor on Season 6 of ‘The Voice’ But With a Twist
Miranda Lambert is "cheating" on Blake Shelton. But it's not what you think!
It's going to be a battle in the Lambert-Shelton household next year, as Lambert has reportedly joined Season 6 of 'The Voice' as a mentor. But she won't be mentoring her husband's team this time out – she's been there, done that on Season 2. Instead, she is pairing up with another blonde powerhouse, coach Shakira, who is returning after a hiatus during Season 5.
"Shakira and Miranda got along well," an insider revealed to Us Weekly. "Blake joked that Miranda was helping another coach. But it was in good fun."
At least Lambert isn't mentoring Adam Levine's team, given Blake's well-documented bromance with the Sexiest Man Alive.
As a coach, Shelton won three of the four seasons of the reality show, which remains a ratings powerhouse. But now he has something to worry about, with two gorgeous and talented divas, one of which happens to be his wife, teaming up against him.
The other coaches always aim to take him out and now Shakira has got some serious ammunition on her side. What a coup for Team Shakira.
While Season 5 is currently airing, it looks as though Season 6, which is set to air next spring, is going to be one to watch with Lambert and Shelton pitted against one another all in good fun. Lookout!
