I can imagine there's lots of room to get lost in a vast area with a name like the Australian Outback. Here's wishing 62-year-old Reg Foggerdy a speedy and complete recovery.

Reg got lost while hunting in an arid region of the Outback in western Australia known as the Great Victoria Desert. He survived without water for six days (is there irony in the fact that he was looking for a camel?) and staying alive by eating black ants! How many black ants would you need to make a meal?

Trackers finally found him about 9 miles from his vehicle. Medical personnel airlifted him to a hospital where he was described as being "extremely dehydrated, disoriented and delusional."

Oh, and he had an overpowering urge to ruin someone's picnic.  DB
