Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On September 12, 2024, 51-year-old Eric O'Donnell reported to Adult Probation and Parole. Probation officers conducted a probation search of the vehicle and discovered a female passed out in the passenger seat.

Probation officers, however, were ultimately able to have a short conversation with the female who explained that she was experiencing a medical condition and that O’Donnell drove them to the probation office.

Surveillance video shows O’Donnell exiting the vehicle from the driver’s side. The female was transported by ambulance prior to law enforcement's arrival. When Missoula Police Department Officers arrived, probation officers were actively searching O’Donnell’s vehicle.

Located on the driver’s seat was an orange pill bottle with a pharmacy label that had O’Donnell’s name on it. Inside the bottle was multiple clear Ziploc bags. One of the bags contained approximately 42 blue pills with an “M” stamped on one side, and a “30” stamped on the opposite side.

Based on the officer’s training and experience, the pills are consistent with fentanyl. The pills were tested with a TruNarc device and came back as presumptive positive for acetaminophen, and stated it could not rule out narcotics. The probation officer, in his training and experience, also believes the pills to be fentanyl.

Inside of the orange pill bottle was two additional bags each containing a white crystalline substance. Both bags tested presumptive positive for Methamphetamine via a TruNarc device. The probation search also revealed a small Hello Kitty tin in the back seat. Inside the tin was a fourth clear plastic bag that also contained methamphetamine.

He is currently being charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, and a probation violation. His bond was set at $100,000.
