An act following off-premises beer and licenses to deliver beer and table wine; creating a third-party delivery license for alcohol; allowing an off-premises retail license to have a third-party delivery licensee deliver beer or table wine - HB 211: Revise Alcohol Laws on bills.legmt.gov
Some businesses have already been able to deliver beer or wine, like Bridge Pizza. HB 211 focuses on businesses such as Uber, Doordash or Grubhub.
How Did House Bill 211 Pass?
Montana State Representative Katie Zolnikov was the sponsor of HB 211. The 28-year-old representing the 44th district in the Billings Heights and Shepherd, Montana area started the process in November of 2024.
HB 211 was signed by the Sign on March 21, 2025, signed by the Senate on March 24 and finally signed by Governor Greg Gianforte on April 3.

If you're curious if anyone can order alcohol from Uber or Doordash, they cannot. Upon arrival, the consumer will have to provide photo identification to confirm they are 21 years old.
Uber, Doordash, Grubhub, etc., even require photo identification for products such as Nyquill to confirm they are 21.
