The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is reporting that Nestlé USA has announced a voluntary recall of two of their popular brands of frozen food that have been distributed throughout the country including in Montana.

This particular recall isn't due to any reported illness caused by bacteria, it is due to a possible "foreign material" contamination. They are warning of a "potential presence of a wood-like material." There has been one reported "potential choking incident" to date.

The reported recall is limited to specific products that were produced between August 2024 to March 2025. Again, this is a voluntary recall and does not include any other products. The products that are being recalled are:

  • Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli
  • Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Ravioli
  • Lean Cuisine Lemon Garlic Shrimp Stir-Fry
  • Stouffer's Party Size Chicken Lasagna

The recommendation for these products is not to prepare and eat them; instead return them to where they were purchased for a full refund or a replacement product.
