It didn’t quite feel like Halloween last year without the Missoula Haunted House at the Missoula Fairgrounds. It used to be an amazing production. I remember taking my kids there one year when they were just starting high school.

It was a terrifying experience. The chainsaw freaked the kids out; the contortionist who crawled along the floor and chased us freaked me out. It was good family fun. Missoula has been missing the haunted house for the past few years.

There is some good news this year. The Missoula Haunted House is back, but it’s in a different location and will be a different kind of experience.

What’s New for 2025: Cornfield of Cannibals

This year, the Missoula Haunted House is teaming up with the Missoula Fall Fest, a weekly event that will run for four weekends in October. The new location will be at Grass Valley Farms, located off Mullan Road at 5280 Deschamps Lane.

The haunted house will be held outside this year. According to their website, this year will bring “the horror to life like never before—placing guests in the heart of a post-apocalyptic cornfield, where a cult of cannibals awaits.”

With the haunted house being outside, and this being Missoula, the weather can be a factor. They are going to have the house “rain or shine.” It will be up to the guests to make sure they dress for the weather. In the event of extreme weather, they may close temporarily.
