The Montana Grizzlies defeated the Portland State Vikings 28-17 on Senior Day at Washington-Grizzly Stadium. That's the simple explanation but doesn't include all the oddities during the win.

Montana and Portland State combined to have as many turnovers (3) as they did points through the first half. Then came out guns blazing and scored 35 combined points in the third quarter alone. The offenses were so hot they burnt the power right out of the stadium.

Literally.

We had to wrap the game up from our cell phones on the Grizzly Radio Network. It was a bizarre one. But the biggest talking point, so it seems, coming from the game was the fiery interaction between Head Coach Bobby Hauck and quarterback Logan Fife.

The heated interaction occurred after Fife was called for an unsportsmanlike penalty. Hauck was pissed at the penalty. Fife was revved up.

But I'm here to tell you it's not that big of a deal. You're probably thinking, "Oh big surprise that the guy who works for the Griz is defending the argument." Fair argument, but I counter by saying I have criticized the Griz with how they've managed the quarterback situation, I've disagreed with play calls or been flat-out discouraged by some performances this season.

When I tell you this argument was blown out of portion I mean it. It's an insanely emotional sport. Coach Hauck even said it during his press conference.

Nobody's gonna be confused about Logan Fife and Bobby Hauck being fired up football - Hacuk at the presser

I don't believe in a lot of "coach speak," but I believe Coach Hauck when he says he enjoyed the fired-up version of Fife.

The last point I'm going to make is wouldn't you want your quarterback to tell you if he hates something? Would you rather have a player hold something in, let it fester and then it blows up even worse than what we saw? If that happens at your job do you want your coworker to sit in their office and mope, complain and gossip behind your back, or come up to your face and say, "Hey, dude I'm ready to punch you in the face and I want to talk it out with you."

It's not that big of a deal. They made up at the end. Quit making something out of nothing.

R-E-L-A-X... relax
