Montana Senator Visits Trump At Alabama-Georgia Game
Ah yes, the magical crossover between sports and politics. Everybody loves it when politics bleeds into their sports, right? We all love watching the same political ads repeat constantly throughout the 9 hours of NFL we watch on Sundays, right? I wish politicians advertised all the time instead of once every four years.'
(Sarcasm)
Last weekend Montana Senator Steve Daines traveled to college football's biggest game: #2 Georgia Bulldogs @ #4 Alabama Crimson Tide. UGA VS Bama is the epitome of big-game college football, so who wouldn't want to watch the Dawgs and Tide battle it out in front of a sold-out Bryant-Denney Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama? Senator Daines said, "Yes please."
Georgia and Alabama is a bigger event than the presidential election, and I am only half kidding when I say that. It's definitely more important to me, but that's because I'm a big, dumb sports fan.

Daines got his money's worth at the SEC clash as long as he didn't leave by halftime. Bama led 28-0 in what looked like a royal landslide, but Georgia came all the way back to take the lead before Alabama tipped the seesaw back to the side of the Crimson Tide for good. Alabama won 41-34.
Do you know what other game was a rollercoaster of a battle? The 8th ranked Montana Grizzlies 51-49 win over Eastern Washington. Next time, Senator Daines, come with the Griz because they'll be sure to give you a fireworks show.
