After a tumultuous season in Missoula, the Montana Lady Griz now have their guy moving forward.
Interim Head Coach Nate Harris will have his interim tag dropped and will become the 5th head coach in Lady Griz history. Harris spent the last 4 seasons as an assistant coach under previous Head Coach Brian Holsinger but stepped up into the interim role after Holsinger and the University of Montana parted ways in January.

As interim head coach, Harris's tenure was an up-and-down journey. Harris won his first two games against Weber State and Idaho State, followed by two losses in a row to the region rivals of Montana State and Idaho, followed by three wins in a row, followed by four losses in a row and finally before the epic Big Sky Conference Tournament run to the championship.
There was a palpable energy in the building in Boise last week on a run that came just seconds short of an improbable Big Sky title and a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Spending time with the team this season, it was apparent to me that the team fought for Coach Harris during the season. Listen to MJ Bruno after the title game loss in the postgame presser filmed by Shaun Rainey with SWX.

Congratulations to Montana native Coach Harris.
