Wow, I had to study Shakespeare in college and I don't remember learning about this. And as much trouble as I had with the material, I might have really struggled if I started thinking about him not having a head.

In London Archeologists say they have made a startling discovery while scanning the grave of William Shakespeare. They say his skull is missing.

There have been claims made for hundreds of years that that his skull was stolen by grave robbers back in the 18th century. Archeologists used ground-penetrating radar to explore his tomb, and as one of them put it, "we found an odd disturbance at the head end."

Not everyone is convinced and there are no plans to dig up old Bill. We'll just remember him for his brilliant work and for having a great head on his shoulders.  DB
