Garth Brooks, Lee Brice Team Up for ‘More Than a Memory’ at Stagecoach 2018 [WATCH]
When Garth Brooks closed out Stagecoach 2018 on Sunday night (April 29) with a headlining set, fans were expecting his wife Trisha Yearwood as a special guest -- but they weren't expecting Lee Brice. Brooks invited his fellow artist onstage during his show to sing "More Than a Memory," a song that Brice wrote and Brooks recorded.
Readers can press play above to watch the moment; Brice takes lead vocals on the first part of "More Than a Memory," as Brooks stands at the back of the stage, smiling as he watches. After Brooks takes lead on a few lines, the two harmonize and trade off lines throughout the rest of the song.
"More Than a Memory" was inspired by a heartache in Brice's own life that never went away: "I woke up one night thinking about the love of my life, an old flame, even though we hadn't been together in eight or 10 years," the singer tells The Boot. "I woke up thinking about her at 3:30 AM and started writing her a letter."

Brice co-wrote "More Than a Memory" with Kyle Jacobs and Billy Montana. The song appears on Brooks' 2007 album The Ultimate Hits and became the first tune to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, as well as Brooks’ first No. 1 single since 1998′s "To Make You Feel My Love."
Their collaboration at Stagecoach was not the first time Brooks and Brice have performed the song together: During Brooks' World Tour, which ran from late 2014 through late 2017, Brice joined the country superstar onstage one night in Boston, Mass., to sing "More Than a Memory."
In addition to Brooks, Stagecoach 2018 was headlined by Florida Georgia Line and Keith Urban. The three-day festival, which ran Friday (April 27) through Sunday in Indio, Calif., also featured, among others, Kacey Musgraves, Kassi Ashton and Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit.
