I have only had the title of "Dad" for a couple years now. So far, Father's Day has been pretty cool. My only requirement for Father's Day, is that we do something outside and it has to be "Guy Stuff."

The Five Valley's Archery Club has got the best of both categories. Camping and 100 3-D archery targets to shoot.

But, for the first time in 40 years, the annual Father's Day shoot is CANCELLED!

This event has become an annual tradition for many dads other than myself. The kids enjoy the time spent in the field with dad, plus the 100 3D animals. Everything from velociraptors to giant moose. Not to mention the 10 foot tall grizzly bear.

This event takes months of planning and days to set up. Much respect for the Five Valleys Archery Club and their volunteers who make it happen. But, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it looks like we are going to hang up our bows for the summer.
