Here’s an excerpt from an article I saw in The Huffington Post; ”The average person will spend 43 days on hold with automated customer service in one lifetime, according to a survey conducted by data collection provider ResearchNow. After polling 500 consumers, ResearchNow determined that 58 percent get ticked off at waiting, and 48 percent believe calling a business is useless. Overall, 86 percent said they had been put on hold when calling a business.
