Holy buckets! You hear similar stories of generosity like this every year, but this one is really something. And the Salvation Army's red kettle is definitely in the black. Wait till you here how much in the black.

Salvation Army officials in Minnesota and North Dakota reported that a contribution made over the weekend in front of a grocery store in Minneapolis was the biggest in their history. The couple who wish to remain anonymous have a history of big donations, and they alerted the Salvation Army that the check was coming, so the check could be removed before volunteers saw their names.

The North Dakota/Minnesota division of the Salvation Army says they were running about a half-million behind dollars behind at the same point last year. Not anymore! The check was for $500,000.00!

And there is today's slice of good in the world, folks.  DB
