I have seen over a gajillion college football games on TV (unofficial count). But that one on Saturday? Wow!!! That had to have been one of the most bizarre finishes I've ever watched.

I'm speaking (as you college football fans know) of the Michigan State at Michigan game. Boy, do those two schools hate each other. That thing was nasty. Anyway, Michigan can't quite let the clock run out entirely, with their 23-21 lead. On 4th down they opt to punt with about 10 seconds to play. That's when the punter drops the ball and puts on what looked like a puppet show, flailing around trying to kick the ball before the Michigan State players are all over him. He manages to fling/kick the ball to a kid beside him, who runs it back the other way for a Michigan State touchdown and a 27-23 Spartan victory with no time left on the clock. Had he been tackled before scoring, there wouldn't have been any time left and Michigan would have still won the game.

Like I say, really bizarre ending. So much so in fact, that a Grand Rapids TV news anchor was live at the time and reported that MICHIGAN had won the game. The anchor did not see the last play. Oops. This was definitely an example of "it ain't over till it's over."
