Now, there's a defense that sounds like it could come in handy to justify lots of stupid stuff. "Ummm...I just got curious." It seems a guy from Wheatland, Wyoming, says curiosity got the better of him and drove him to steal more than 550 pounds of explosives from a U.S. Forest Service bunker near Red Lodge, Montana. Budd James Nesius pleaded guilty to a single count of possession of stolen explosives. He admitted to the theft last year, but denies there was intent to sell them. Guess he just wanted to hear some great big boom booms. He faces up to 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine. A judge will lower the boom on December 4. DB
