There's a reason the Toby Keith/Willie Nelson duet was so popular in Montana a number of years ago. It's because the lyrics were "Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses." Not diapers for my horses!

And while I'm not fond of using a bike/walking trail and having to go around horse poop, I'd never make a stink about it. Not so in Selma, Alabama, according to Associated Press. The city council passed a law several years ago that requires horses to wear diapers in the city. But people are not following the law and things are getting a bit messy.

So the mayor expects law enforcement to crack down on the "doo nots" who have not been diapering up their mounts. And since the chief of polices says he's only seen one diaper-wearing horse in town, well they could see a lot of ticket droppings this spring.  DB
