Does wearing a costume like Spider-Man make you feel invincible? Or as Elmo irresistibly  lovable? Apparently, some street performers think so, and the city is cracking down on their over-aggressive behavior.

The New York City Council has passed regulations on how costumed characters can operate or perform in certain areas, say, a high-traffic venue like Times Square. Tourists and locals alike are complaining that some of them are being extremely aggressive in their attempts to collect tips. So the new law "zones" them into certain areas. Of course Spidey can still shoot webs from hundreds of feet away and try to snag your wallet.   DB
