If someone told you that you were going to do battle with a nonagenarian, you'd probably think "alien invasion." But no, you'd be confronting a person in their 90s.

And here's a story about some jackass who probably wished he hadn't taken on a nonagenarian, at least not 95-year-old World War II veteran Arthur Kamberis. Arthur has obviously been through a lot in his lifetime, has a lot of courage and swings a mean cane!

Associated Press tells us that 42-year-old David Farnsworth of Manchester, N.H., tried to rob Mr. Kamberis as he was leaving a pharmacy. Farnsworth reached for the wallet in his pocket, but our mighty nonagenarian fought him off by whacking him a few times with his cane right before a good samaritan, who saw the incident, came running to his aid.

th ran away, but finally turned himself in 10 days after the incident. And our hero was unhurt! Three cheers for Arthur Kamberis!    DB
