Woman Gives Birth in the Middle of Busy Intersection

They joke about how busy and populated the "Big Apple" is, that during rush hour a woman could give birth and no one would notice. Well... that's exactly what happened late yesterday afternoon. 

Imagine having a baby outside on the sidewalk in the peak of rush hour?! This anonymous mother left her apartment knowing she was going into labor, after unsuccessfully trying to hail a taxi, in downtown New York, she dropped down in the middle of the sidewalk. She had to do what she had to do, and that was welcome her child, that was ready to come into this world. As many mothers know, birth is unpredictable. Luckily for this woman, some kind New Yorkers did pause in their busy lives and help her until medics arrived. Others just stood around and took pictures.
