Montana's national parks have already had their share of stupid human-wild animal encounters this year.

But at least I don't think any have involved an attempt at e-commerce.

Associated Press tells us that a California woman was arrested after she scooped up a fawn on the side of a road...and tried to sell it on Craigslist! As if you needed to know this: It is illegal to pick up a fawn and try to sell it online.

Lacy Jean David was asking $300 for the baby deer. Police had set up a sting operation on another charge involving drug use and were able to recover the fawn, which is in good health at an animal care facility. Hopefully it will lead a full and healthy life somewhere.

Ms. David is free on bail. Probably setting up an online raccoon store.
