Boy are they really catching it in the Upper Midwest. My father-in-law in central SD said he has snowdrifts in front of his house from 4-6 feet high.  It quit snowing there late Wednesday. In eastern SD and southwestern  MN they had ice storms that had an estimated 30,000 people without power. The Twin Cities area is expecting a foot of snow today. The Governor has called out the National Guard. To the south in Missouri they suspect a tornado tore through a suburb of St. Louis last night.  As the storm system tracks east more violent weather is forecasted.  Man these folks deserve a break, after all it is April. If April showers bring May flowers these folks are going to have a bumper crop.
