What, a wind chill "watch" wasn't enough? Good Lord! Friends, the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Warning for the Missoula and Bitterroot Valleys and the Potomac/Seeley Lake region, 5:00 p.m. today (Thursday) through 11:00 a.m. Saturday.  Gusty winds of 10-20 mph expected to develop and persist through Saturday morning. Extremely cold wind chills will lead to a danger of frostbite on unprotected skin in as little as 30 minutes. Wind chill values (they call them values now-what happened to factors?) will drop to 20 to 30 degrees below zero. Colder at times in the Hellgate and Badrock Canyon areas. Now, my weather glass is always half full, but this one could go down as one of the all time early December doozies. I know the Weather Service forecasts on the side of caution, but please join me in taking this seriously, especially if you're joining us in Washington Grizzly Stadium Saturday. DB
