Forget the old-school thrill of having money come out of your ATM. Technology marches on, topped with mushrooms and pepperoni.

Xavier University in Ohio is working with a French company to be the first pizza ATM outlet in the U.S. Just insert your card and choose a pizza from the available menu on a touch screen. Pay $10 and wait a few minutes while it heats up. The pizza is then placed in a cardboard box and then comes through the slot.

You would assume you're paying for cardboard cheese and rubber meat, but early reviews of the pizzas are actually quite favorable. I imagine you'll start seeing the PATMs next to a Redbox movie machine near you!   DB
