Researchers at Texas A&M University found that drinking alcohol can actually change the structure of the brain cells in the area of your brain that controls motivational and reward systems. Having one drink isn't as easy as you think. 

So, when you sip booze, the shape of these cells shift, and they end up sending you a signal to order another round and keep up the buzz.

It ends up being a slippery slope because the more you drink, the more your brain tells you to drink.
