Where’s the Party?

A new app wants to help get the party started. Winkli lets Facebook users view the profiles of people attending the same events, allowing them to filter based on relationship status. Essentially, it helps you check out the cute single people at the party before you even get there! While Winkli is similar to other dating apps like Tinder in that it mines information from Facebook (and makes connections based on mutual friends), it’s a little more invasive. On Tinder, only those users who have an account will show up. But with Winkli, if you’re invited to an event on Facebook, you’ll be visible to other users. The only way to opt out is to either delete your Facebook account or remove yourself from event groups.
