Last night, I watched the Blazers, Damian Lillard hit the shot heard around the Pacific NW. As you might know, I'm a 2nd generation Blazer Fan, my son's are now carrying the Blazer torch. They were 10 and 11 when they had last seen their team advance to the second round. They both called me right after the win, my youngest at the game, a memory for sure, and my oldest watching with some friends. Whoever says sports is a waste of time, have not crossed over to understanding it's more than a game, it's an emotional connection, not just with your team, but with your kids, my son's in this case. Game's bring you together, whether you win or lose, you will always have that connection, however, winning feels pretty good. To my boys, Michael and Brandon, it's been a long 14 years, here's to the second round!!
