The results are in from a Marist College poll asking what word or phrase did Americans find most annoying.

And I'm sure each of you could contribute one or two of your own. I would offer "reach out" and "at the end of the day." But the winner is:

"Whatever." Yep, a whopping 38 percent of those surveyed are "whatever"-ed out. And 20 percent were most annoyed by "no offense, but..."  Other contenders include "I know, right?," "I can't even" and "huge."

So there you have them my friends. Keep those in mind the next time you're talking to someone. They could be in those high-percentage groups. I'm glad I could reach out to you at the end of the day or, whatever.
