The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for the valleys of west central and northwest Montana. The freeze warning is in effect from Midnight tonight (Tuesday April 16) until 9 a.m. Wednesday April 17. Cool temperatures have been common this past week and the coldest overnight lows are expected tonight and Tuesday. These nights will each see in excess of 10 hours of subfreezing conditions. This will put sprouting vegetation, fruit buds and irrigation at risk. DB
