Will 2015 be a very good year for students at Washington State University? Maybe so. And I imagine there will be no shortage of interest. Starting next year, Washington State students will be able to study and research wine at a new $23 million Wine Science Center on their Richland campus. Man, 23 mil would buy a lot of bottles, especially at the prices I pay. Well the state of Washington is a major wine producer with international markets, so maybe there's a big future in the industry. Students will learn to say the following:

FRESHMAN YEAR: "A lively bouquet."

SOPHOMORE YEAR: "Palatable but slightly presumptuous."

JUNIOR YEAR: "Its fermentation inspires true devotion."

SENIOR YEAR: "Poignant but not overbearing."

Good luck Wine Cougars!  DB
