Ward Honored Again

The Big Sky Conference announced Monday that Mathias Ward is its men’s basketball player of the week. Mathias shares this week’s honor with Weber State’s Jordan Richardson. It’s Ward’s second Player of the Week honor already this season. He scored 28 points, had 11 rebounds and 3 assists in road wins over Northern Arizona and Sacramento State. Of his points scored, there was probably none bigger than his 3-point bomb from about 30 feet away as the shot clock expired that gave Montana a 3-point lead late in the game against NAU. The Griz have now won 7 straight Big Sky road games. Excited to see them back home on January 3rd vs. Eastern Washington. Hope the fans come out and congrats again to Mathias!  DB
