Hard to believe given its age (53), that this will be the first time they've ever held an event like this at this iconic landmark. The Space Needle in Seattle will hold its first-ever public stair climb.

It's a benefit for cancer research and will be limited to the first 3,000 people. If that sounds sarcastic, it's not meant to be. I am just imagining that entries will fill up really fast. The climb to the observation deck will take place October 3. That deck is 520 feet high and takes 41 seconds in the elevator.

If you want to be part of history and help cancer research, this might be the must-do for you!   DB
