The SAFE-sponsored "Walk A Mile In Her Shoes" was a success in Hamilton Friday evening.
Over 20 males donned extra large women's high heels for a trek along Hamilton's streets to "take a step" in stopping rape, sexual assault and gender violence.

Supporters of Abuse Free Environments (SAFE) of Ravalli County joined the international effort and borrowed a large number of men's size shoes for the event.

The guys who marched in the heels also donated money to be in the crowd. Supporters - sometimes literally - walked along with the men.

The walk "kicked" off events this month to raise awareness of domestic violence in Ravalli County, including White Ribbon Week, starting October 17.

No injuries were reported.
