Vets Help Vets Fight PTSD
Some of the best singers and songwriters in Montana are getting together for the benefit of Montana vets. Shane Clouse, Tim Ryan, Rob Quist, Kostas and Jason Deshaw will do three shows featuring some of their best songs. They’ll be here in Missoula on the 4th performing at the MCT. The doors open at 6 PM and the show starts at 7 PM. All the money raised in this series of three shows goes to a group called XSports 4 Vets. The group has a mission; “Veterans that strive to help other combat veterans succeed. We utilize as many extreme sports as we can to take the edge out of civilian life. Riverboarding, rock climbing, mountain biking, sky diving, rafting and many other activities are our expertise! Some of us have wounds left over from combat, others don’t – but we all benefit from getting out and meeting people that have been in our shoes.”
Montana has one of the highest per capita numbers of vets in the nation. As a Vietnam Era vet I fully support the efforts of XSports 4 Vets and some great musicians. I hope I’ll see you there at the Missoula show. It’s free but a donation at the door would be appreciated.
