Authorities are on the hunt for suspects responsible for vandalism at the Frenchtown LDS Church located on Frenchtown Frontage Road. Paige Pavalone with the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office said the vandalism happened sometime over the weekend:

"Deputies took a report yesterday—one of the administrators from the Frenchtown LDS Church located on Frenchtown Frontage Road reported that someone had called them and said that the outside exterior brick wall of the building had been vandalized with spray paint," Pavalone said. "There was a Jewish Star of David and some derogatory language about religious figures spray painted onto the side of the building in pink and in blue spray paint."

Pavalone said the suspects are most likely juveniles. Considering other acts of vandalism and even theft that has occurred this summer, Pavalone is asking parents to keep a close eye on their teens, keep them out of trouble, and to set reasonable curfews for them so as to prevent further mischief from happening.

"It happened sometime over the weekend," Pavalone said. "We don't know who is responsible for it, but we are suggesting that it's probably the act of a juvenile. So give us a call, let us know, maybe ask your teens about it. You can call the sheriff's office at 258-4810 or you can give an anonymous tip to Crimestoppers at 721-4444."

Similar activity has been happening around the Target Range area in Missoula on Norman Street. Pavalone says the suspects are responsible for breaking into vehicles, smashing bottles on roads, and lightning a residential garbage can on fire.

A purse in the neighborhood was also reported stolen.
