Cash is king? Sure, I guess. But beer and smokes apparently are a big motivator, too. Associated Press tells us that Abigail Miller's dogs got away through an open gate. She got one back right away at an animal shelter, but the other one remained on the loose. So the Dayton, Ohio woman put up some fliers around the neighborhood offering a reward: A case of beer and a pack of cigarettes. Well, she said that's what she could afford and that she figured it would attract attention. And it worked. But the man who called to tell her where to get her dog turned down the "reward." Abigail still plans to try to treat him to lunch at the sandwich shop where she works. Extra tomato and mayo but hold the beer and smoke, please. DB
