The University of Montana's 118th Commencement ceremony is set to kick off Saturday as graduating students wrap up finals this week in Missoula.

"The overall ceremony is at Washington-Grizzly Stadium and is at 10 a.m. and we're telling people at this point it's rain or shine," UM Vice President of Integrated Communications Peggy Kuhr said. "We have a special speaker. This year's commencement speaker is Ambassador Max Baucus. We will also be awarding an honorary doctorate to Salish Elder Louis Adams."

Kuhr said over 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students will be receiving their degrees this weekend.

"There's park-and-ride available. There are a couple of locations where people can park and come on in to campus near Lewis and Clark Villages; near the golf course there will be a couple of stops there where people can park. Parking is available near the Dornblaser as well," Kuhr said. "The stadium itself, I believe, is opening at 8 a.m. The ceremony, however, isn't until 10 a.m."

Kuhr added that parking will also be at the Comfort Inn and that park-and-ride service will be available.

Can't make it to the ceremony? No problem. UM will live-stream the commencement ceremony at www.umt.edu/commencement/.
