Oops! Oh, that's okay. I'm pretty sure Nelson Mandela wouldn't mind. And he'd appreciate the efforts. Associated Press tells us that cyclists traveling in Johannesburg in the former South African president's honor wore t-shirts with one of Mandela's inspirational quotes. Well, pretty close. The t-shirts read, "The purpose of freedoom is to create if for others." Organizers said that 5,000 t-shirts with the typo were made for the "Freedom Ride," which passed landmarks in downtown Johannesburg and city's Soweto area. And sure, the spelling mistake was a bit of a PR hiccup, but otherwise the Freedoom, I mean Freedom Ride was a huge success. DB
