Twists of Fate for Boston Marathon Runner and Texas Resident

Two tragedies that have hurt so many people in one week. They all have stories to tell, but let's take a look at Joe Berti. Joe crossed the finish line at the Boston Marathon just seconds before a bomb exploded. He was unharmed. The same is true when he was back home near Waco, Texas when a massive blast leveled a fertilizer plant and destroyed a huge area of West, Texas and claimed numerous lives. According to the Associated Press, Berti and his wife Amy agree that it's a very bizarre coincidence and consider themselves extremely fortunate. They'd also like to add that they are praying for for those whose lives were changed forever by the two tragedies. DB
