Twins With Different Birthdays and Years

I'm sure the odds of this aren't as crazy as they are for winning that out-of-control Powerball jackpot going on now. But still, you gotta admit, these little cuties probably stretched the laws of probability just a bit.

First, our congratulations to Jaelyn Valencia of San Diego. She is a new mother of twins, a boy and a girl. And it makes you wonder whether their births aren't a sign that they're going to be little mischief makers!

The first was born December 31, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. The second birth was at 12:01 a.m. on January 1, 2016. That's right, different birthdays, different years, yet only a couple minutes apart! Now, none of this would have happened if the doctors hadn't called Valencia in early, because one of the babies was in a breech position, so the twins had to arrive a few weeks ahead of schedule.  We hope everyone is healthy and we look forward to wishing the twins a happy first birthday.
