If you love to play softball, but don't have a team or the resources to organize one, you should definitely show up for this event.

With nine adult leagues, softball is a very popular spring and summer recreation in Missoula, and opportunities abound to be a part of a team without having to form one.

This Saturday, March 24, is your chance to get on an adult slowpitch softball team for the upcoming season, which starts in May. The Missoula Softball Association is having free adult player tryouts for men and women at McCormick Park Softball Fields, from noon - 2:00 p.m.

Bring your glove, as team managers from men's, women's and co-rec teams will be there looking for new players. All skill levels are encouraged to participate. Everyone who attends will be given the opportunity to bat, as well as do some fielding and throwing from both the infield and outfield.

If you're new in town and would like to make some new friends, or maybe just haven't played ball in awhile and would like to start enjoying softball again, this could be a cool opportunity.

Good luck!
