Trisha Yearwood is releasing a new album on Monday (Nov. 17), and she's letting Taste of Country readers hear one of the new songs first.

'PrizeFighter: Hit After Hit' features 10 of Yearwood’s greatest hits, along with six new tracks.

One of the new songs is 'Can't Trust the Weatherman,' which sees Yearwood exploring a new direction while still retaining the unique stylistic and production elements that have always set her music apart from the pack.

The uptempo song has a more aggressive feel than some of her past work, with distorted guitar chords and some hot guitar solos, but also features banjo and blazing fiddle runs, providing a perfect bed track to showcase the bluesier side of Yearwood's signature vocals.

The album's lead single is the title song, 'PrizeFighter,' a duet with Kelly Clarkson.

Yearwood is currently on an enormous world tour with her husband, Garth Brooks, and she is performing songs from the new album on stage.

“This album was about bringing together the songs that show what I’m all about,” she says. “These are the classic songs people fell in love with and the new songs that show ‘what’s next.’ When you come to the shows, it’s a mix of favorites with a few new ones that people are coming to hear and sing along with.”

'PrizeFighter: Hit After Hit' is currently available at Amazon.
