Tom One Gets Presidential Pardon

With his life on the line, he wisely refrained from complaining about his Affordable Health Care costs. And we can all rejoice because Tom One lives to gobble another day, spared from becoming a Thanksgiving feast!

A Very Important Turkey is headed to the White House for the annual presidential pardon. This year's lucky bird is representing Foster Farms Ranch in Modesto, California. The turkey named Tom One was a big favorite among school children, who had a hand in the voting. Tom One put on a great show of strutting, puffing and gobbling and it was a landslide victory.

He's off to the White House for a symbolic ceremony with President Obama. Then it's off to a farm in Virginia for a life of...well, making future pardonees, I guess.
