There will be three temporary warming shelters for the homeless in the Bitterroot Valley for the rest of the winter. They will open whenever the temperature dips below 15 degrees. Gary Locke of Family Shelter of the Bitterroot said the three shelters are at Neely Center at the corner of 5th and A Streets in Victor, the youth center at the Corvallis United Methodist Church at the corner of East Side Highway and Cemetery Road and at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Darby.

He said that volunteers are needed to help with the warming shelters. Gary also said the fundraising continues to build a family shelter that could house up to 15 families. He said $300,000 is a goal for the beginning of construction in the Hamilton area. For more information call (406) 239-8833.
